Went to sit the Singapore Flyer today. It cost SGD$29.50 per Adult. The whole ride lasted about 30 minutes. We went there at around 9 and luckily we were able to catch the boarding time which was at 9. If not, we have to wait till 9.30 as their boarding time is every half an hour.
I want to comment something about the boarding into the cabin. The Singapore Flyer doesn’t stop spinning while visitor boards. So, the cabin was actually moving when we were boarding. The problem now is that the Singapore Flyer was actually spinning at a “quite” fast speed. I mean its OKAY for us to board as our reactions and movement are still fast. What about the old people ? The speed that it was revolving was JUST NICE for me to board and I’m quite sure those old folks would have a problem boarding the cabin. They should actually slow down at the part where visitors are actually boarding.
Everything else about the Singapore Flyer was normal. Basically, its just a “lift” that goes high up and allow you to see the nice view. You can go to the nearby high-rise hotels and the effect will still be the same. This kind of ride is like a “one-time” off thingy. You would only sit once in your life (unless theres guest or whatever who comes and you got to accompany them). Therefore, SGD$29.50 is still okay. The only good thing about paying the SGD$29.50 is that when other people talks about Singapore Flyer. You could actually go like “HEY ! I’VE SIT IT BEFORE !”. Period.
