Lost the exact same model/same brand/same color WITH crumpler pouch last year. This time round, got myself another 1 for my school uses. *Pray that everything goes smoothly for this portable hard disk*.

Didn’t bother to get another crumpler pouch this time, just using their “free gift” pouch to contain the hard disk.

Did not manage to go to the finals of World Skills Singapore Web Design but it is okay, I know that I had gave it my best shot. I hand-coded the entire thing using Textpad (similar to notepad) without using Dreamweaver and that might be 1 of the reason why I didn’t manage to get in. The entire 18 (excluding me and Hui Min) competitors used Dreamweaver to do the website and it is much faster then hand-coding but it doesn’t give you entire “control” of the website. Speed is very important in this competition but I do not know how to use Dreamweaver at all ! From young, I learnt programming through handcoding everything and thus, explains why I always handcode and hate automated UI IDE (Visual Basic Studio is an exception). As for website design, my design is the thy suck. I could really say that my website is the ugliest among all but I did manage to finish all the functions except the Search Engine. Conclusion is that, the design aspect of the website is very important, almost on pile with the functions. Now I know why its called Web Design and not Web Programming.

Mid Semester Test

Got back all my results for my mid semester test and am quite satisfied with it. Scored full marks for Visual Basic Programming (Elective), 77% for E-Service Planning and 86% for Professional Image & Etiqutte (GEMS). Aiming for atleast GPA 3.9 this semester and that all depends on my FYP. Hope everything goes well.
