Finally, the worst dreaded letter has came. I’m enlisting on 6th October. Thats roughly 5 months away. I thought I was going to enlist in the July batch but was wrong. I didn’t expect it to be so far away ! Seriously, I do not know what to do during these 5 months. Feeling lazy to work leh, but I need the money do some dealing with Mr Vuitton. Sigh. Maybe I could do some wordpress plugins (could always learn from my brother who is the top 3 wordpress plugin dev in the whole wide world) and brush up my programming skills ? But what for, after 2 years of National Slavery, I would have forgotten it clean.

So much with “Serve the nation”. What do we get back in return from serving the nation ? Entering the working world 2 years later than the females ? 10 reservice cycle that screws your job up in return for a watch with SAF logo stamped on it ? However, now the situation is even worst. Not only would you be competiting for jobs with females with 2 years work experience, you now have to welcome foreign talent in the name of “competitiveness”. Tentatively, these foreigners come from their homeland, snatch your job but the irony is that you got to protect them ??? Hell no man !

I’ve been awarded the Diploma with Merit. 3 years of hardwork !!! Or rather 2 years. I screwed up my first year mainly because of the business components which result in my cumulative GPA being pulled down quite abit. But nonetheless, I’m satisified with what I’ve achieved.

With regards to the Sun Microsystems Award, I totally have no idea how did I obtain the award. I did sign up for some java cert thingy but I didn’t went for any lesson (in SP) nor take the certification exam. Anyone out there has obtained similar award from SP ? If anyone has any idea what the Sun Microsystems Award is all about, please do drop me a comment here !

Random Fact #1

I was suppose to be on a 3D2N trip to Bangkok and Kanchanaburi, departing today (17th April). It was cancelled due to the fact that Bangkok declared that it was in a State of Emergency. A certain percentage of the trip was to be forfeited and the trip has to be post poned to another day in May I think. The trip was meant to be a sight seeing trip rather than a shopping trip as Bangkok has practically nothing to buy.
