Damn, wanted to get a Bottega Veneta signature key ring in black (exactly same as above pic, but in black). Thought they would have it on sale and turned out that only light colors were on sale and black/brown (their signature colors) will never be on sale. The keyrings and handphone strap (long) is on sale for $175 but only light colors. So if you’re looking for dark color stuffs on sale, you can give BV a miss

Wasted my effort to orchard + the outrageous parking rate at Heeren ($6+ for 2 hours plus). Weekdays parking is easy but expensive !

4 hours of programming -> 30 mins break -> another 4 hours of programming.

Even so, I still didn’t managed to finish despite my relatively fast pace of doing things. I could say that I only finished about 70% of the requirements. Most of the competitors didn’t manage to finish also. Kinda impossible to finish. Design from scratch, full fledged CMS (Export database in .csv, manage users, manage content, manage menu), registration, admin login, etc etc. There are still many more requirements like inserting the data they give you. What pisses me off is that they give you a .csv file for you to import into the database and the order of the column is jumbled up and you got to spent your precious time (yes, 8 hours is barely enough to finish even if you got godlike speed in doing things) making them work.

So my approach ? Screw all of those shit. I went straight to code all the functions, disregarding all the information they give and adopting noob-like web design. Even so, I didn’t manage to code finish all the functions (Search Engine). The other competitors from the other polys and ITE has god-like design. I think their design is like 3294823 times better then mine, not sure if they had their functions up as well.

20 people (4 each from SP-NP-NYP-TP and another 4 from ITE) in this Qualifying Round, only 6 to 10 will go in the finals. Results will be on 7th July. Crossing my fingers real hard that I’ll go in the next round.

Programming.. Programming and more Programming.

My Final Year Project is left untouched as I’ve to prepare for my World Skills Qualifying Round which is on 18/06/2008 (Friday). Whats worst is that one of them is in JSP and the other is in PHP. And we all know JSP can go die for all I care. It takes 123093284782384238748234 gazillion years to compile and run on my notebook (yes, my notebook is slow but what to do). Besides that, to do a simple task, you need to code 129803273848234832 more lines of code compared to PHP if both the languages is supposed to do the same thing (mail() for one such example). Balls to JSP but still, I’ve to used it for my FYP as it is more “godly” (ha-ha) then php and Java allows us to “earn more money” (double ha-ha).

After the competition, there is still the Mid Semester Test to study for which is on 21/06/2008 (Monday) and 25/06/2008 (Friday).

Saw quite a number of things that fancy me. I need lotsa money, I spent like few months of my salary on the tag aquaracer. But there are still things that I need to get ! Mylarone Crossroad x3i in-ear phone, LV card holder and birthday pressies ! I would also like to get a Bottega Venetta handphone strap but I’m sure my parents + beloved will say that its not worth it (cost approx $230). However, it looks damn classy although its just a hand-woven piece of urm.. crap ? I R NEED MONEY !!!!!! Bloody FYP, if not I can work like full 3 weeks of my holiday and I’ll be able to grab a few items off my “wanted-list”.

My dad will be going on a overseas work trip to Vietnam for 6 bloody months. Yes ! 6 bloody months. Hes leaving on 12th of June. Hope time passes fast Dad, if you read this, don’t worry ! We’ll all miss you and also take good care of Mum.

Just bought the Tag Heuer Aquaracer, courtesy of beloved’s dad (if you’re reading this, thank you Uncle). Retails at SGD$1,850. Got it slightly cheaper compared to other shops. I’m going to eat grass for a few months

I got myself 2 more agnes b shirt from agnès b Homme outlet at Isetan Scotts. I bought the black “agnès b” shirt 2 days before the Great Singapore Sale -_-. Could have save like $20 if i bought 2 days later. Got myself the white “agnès b” shirt on the first day of their Great Singapore Sale. Its 10% off storewide plus another 10% for DBS Card Holder. After that, saw that Isetan also got some formal wear sales (Brands like Burberry, Polo Ralph, Ashworth, Arnold Palmer, Etc). Got myself another Ashworth Formal-Look Short Pants.

While I got myself apparels, my beloved got herself a Gucci Wallet.  Bought it at Gucci @ DFS. One malay lady served us and her service is top notch. Despite us being students, she still bother to explain every single detail (like, why is this wallet more expensive then the other). Not only that, she also bothered to take out all the similar kinds of wallet to show us even before we say we’re interested to buy. Very good service, thumbs up. Much better than Louis Vuitton @ Ngee Ann City/DFS and Gucci @ Paragon.

On a side note, Year 3 of tetiary education is bloody busy. I’ve like 4 projects (including the heavy weightage FYP) that are going to due in a few days time. Super shag.
